The players attending will be announced later. The Voyagers Team Medic Alan Styles, is the Dalton Township Fire Chief.

MUSKEGON VOYAGERS STATEMENT ON PASSING OF TREVOR BOARDWAY

It is with a heavy heart that the Muskegon Voyagers Professional Hockey Organization mourns the loss of our All-Star Goaltender Trevor Boardway.
Trevor’s dedication to his family, the game of hockey, his teammates and his all-star caliber craft will be forever the rich legacy he leaves with us.
A highly-respected and loved teammate, Trevor was an original charter member of the Voyagers team and a major, key contributing member of all three consecutive Voyagers MIHL League Championships.
Through his first two seasons, Trevor was ranked as the number one goaltender in the entire MIHL.
During his third season, though injured, and with Voyagers Head Coach Derek Smith experiencing health issues, Trevor stepped in behind the Voyagers bench to assist, lending his steady, guiding hand in staying the course for a third consecutive Championship.
“The Boardway Barricade” and its prominent presence became so instrumental in the birth, growth and stability of the young league that the MIHL’s annual award for the league’s top goaltender now bares his name in his honor – “The Trevor Boardway MIHL Goaltender of the Year.”
Our heartfelt condolences are extended to Trevor’s wonderful family; his wife Nicole and daughters Brooklyn and Nova.
